Welcome to Tennis Team
The AHSTC tennis team is for kids of all ability levels. The team holds afternoon practices Monday-Thursdays from late-May to late-June, and morning practices Monday through Friday, from late-June to late-July. Matches are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings and are typically played by team members 10 years or older, unless a younger child is particularly strong and skilled. In order to participate in matches, kids must be able to serve, keep score, and rally a few balls continuously. Before the start of summer matches, we offer an inter-club match to give kids a chance to get comfortable with match play in a relaxed and fun environment. The season ends with a two-day End of Season Tournament.
Kids interested in improving their tennis may also take advantage of our 2-week tennis lesson programs offered in the summer, or hire any of our instructors for private lessons. Both of these opportunities are affordable options to further improving tennis skills, especially when compared to local tennis club rates.
The AHSTC Tennis Team is fun, low-pressure way to learn the sport of tennis, or improve existing tennis skills. It’s also a great way to make new friends at the Arb while enjoying time outdoors!

Dominic is a freshman at University of Idaho and majoring in Physical Education. He has been a member at the Arb since he was born. At the age of five, he joined the AHSTC’s tennis team. He started playing year-round tennis when he was seven years old at the Bellevue Club until the COVID pandemic began in 2020. At Seattle Prep, Dominic played on the Varsity Tennis team all four years. This will be Dominic’s 3rd year coaching at the Arb. I started playing tennis at Arbor Heights in the summer of 2010, when I was 6 years old. I continued my tennis at Vashon Island High School. I was a 4-year varsity player and was the captain of the team my senior year, where I helped out coaching the team as well as giving private lessons outside of practice. I have always enjoyed having structured and fun practices while I’m coaching which I experienced everyday when I was on the Arbor Heights tennis team. firstname.lastname@example.org
Elena has been playing tennis, swimming and diving at Arbor Heights since she was 5 years old. She played varsity tennis and varsity swim at Kennedy Catholic High School all four years. She is student at Gonzaga University and currently playing club tennis there. She is very excited to coach this summer after so many years of playing at the Arb! email@example.com
