Definitions

  • Facility: The area within the fenced perimeter, including all buildings, swimming pool, tennis courts, grass, and cement areas.
  • Grounds: The entire property, including the Facility, parking lot, and landscaped/unimproved areas.
  • Member: Any individual included in a Family or Senior Membership.

General Rules

  • The Club Manager has authority over all activities on AHSTC grounds and may delegate authority to an Assistant Manager.
  • Members and guests must obey AHSTC staff at all times. Failure to follow rules will result in:
    1. Verbal warning
    2. Time out from the pool or tennis courts
    3. Dismissal from the Facility or Grounds
  • Guests: Must be accompanied by a member and follow all rules (Guest Policy).
  • Check-In: Members and guests must check in at the office upon entry and list guest names. Members arriving early for team practice must check in when the Facility opens.
  • Damage to Club property by members or guests will be charged to the responsible member. Parents should instruct children to report vandalism.
  • All individuals must treat others with respect. Physical or verbal abuse, gossip, intimidation, and harassment will not be tolerated.
  • Profanity and improper behavior are prohibited. Bullying will not be tolerated (Abuse Prevention Policy).
  • Respect others’ belongings. Items should not be moved from chairs or tables unless the member has left the Grounds.
  • During high demand, adults have priority for tables and lounge chairs. Unused tables/chairs may not be reserved.
  • No pets are allowed inside the Facility.
  • Kitchen and BBQ areas must be cleaned after use. Do not leave dirty dishes in the sink.
  • No glass items are allowed in the Facility.
  • Members and guests must clean up after themselves. Trash and recycling must be disposed of properly.
  • No food or drinks are allowed within four (4) feet of the pool edge.
  • Jumping or standing on furniture is prohibited.
  • Bicycles, scooters, and skateboards are not allowed inside the Facility.
  • Radios may only be used with earphones.
  • Use of tobacco, cannabis, vaping, and e-cigarettes is prohibited anywhere on the Grounds.
  • Alcohol consumption is allowed in moderation and must be discreet.
  • Boys over age six (6) are not permitted in the women’s bathhouse. Girls over age six (6) are not permitted in the men’s bathhouse.
  • Diaper changing stations are available in both bathhouses.
  • Cell phone use in bathhouses is strictly prohibited.

Pool Safety & Sanitation

  • All individuals must shower with soap before entering the pool.
  • Persons with infections, open wounds, or bandages are not permitted in the pool.
  • Pollution of the pool (urinating, spitting, eating, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
  • Children under four (4) feet in height must pass a swim test to enter the pool without an adult.
  • Children under eight (8) must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Children using flotation devices must be supervised in the water by an adult at all times (2:1 ratio).
  • Running, wrestling, dunking, or rough play is not allowed.
  • Walking is required on the pool deck.
  • No diving in the shallow end.
  • No flips or backward dives from the pool edge.
  • Swimming in the dive tank is allowed only when diving boards are closed.
  • Use of pool toys is allowed but may be restricted during high occupancy.
  • Throwing tennis balls in the pool or on the deck is not allowed.
  • Hanging on lane lines is prohibited.

Diving Board Rules

  • Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time.
  • Only one bounce is allowed.
  • No diving from the sides of the board.
  • Divers may not dive into another person’s arms.
  • Divers must exit the dive tank immediately.
  • No flotation devices or goggles are allowed on the diving boards.

Special Operations

  • Adult Swim: No one under 18 is allowed in the pool during this time (weekends and holidays).
  • Early Bird Swim: Open to lap swimmers age 13+ in the morning. Exceptions may be granted by the Club Manager.
